Vertigo bikes will have a mountain bike rental station situated at the top of the skyline gondola complex for the initial 4 month trial period of the new mountain bike park. We will have a fleet of DH bikes for rent so people can try out the new Ben Lomond Forest bike park DH trails. Vertigo staff will be fighting for this job as it could possibly be the best and most scenic office in town!

Vertigo doing Norco bikes for 2011
Vertigo is doing a select range of the 2011 Norco bikes this summer, the one we are most excited about is the new Norco DH, which is a full on DH race ready rig that is going to retail for $3999!!! The bike is rumored to weigh in a under 40lbs, comes with the new Rock Shox Boxxer RC CL, Avid Elixer 5's and a Fox Van R Coil rear shock. The angles are superb too, low and slack with a 64 degree head angle and low bottom bracket height to keep the center of gravity slammed for maximum corner railing ability! Yeow!

Vertigo bikes has hired the services of new Queenstown resident Shaun Kirton. Shaun stood head and shoulders above the rest when we were looking for a new mountain bike guru this summer. Shaun worked as the Team Yeti world Cup mechanic for a season, so is seriously handy on the spanners and knows a thing or two about suspension set up, working closely with the Fox racing shox guys!
He is going to be taking charge of our workshop and has helped create a new workshop menu to help people choose the right service for their bike.
We welcome you Shaun to the team! :-)
